About deactivating your JOI

What you should know before deactivating

You can restore your JOI at any time by joining again.
This process will only deactivate your current JOI, not your account. You can still join with a different JOI.
You don’t need to deactivate your JOI to change your username or email address. You can do that from your Settings page.
Deactivating won’t delete your information from search engines like Google. We can’t control that.
We may retain some information after you deactivate your JOI but we won’t display it publicly on the site.

Go to your Settings page by clicking the more icon from the navigation bar and then Settings.
Scroll down to the Deactivate section.
Click or tap Deactivate this JOI and confirm selecting Deactivate again.

No, your messages and posts will remain on JOI. If you want to delete them, you can do so before deactivating your JOI.

Yes, you can reactivate your JOI at any time by joining with the same JOI you deactivated.
