How to edit a Post

Edit post is a feature that gives you a 1 hour window to make unlimited changes to your post so you can fix typos, tag someone you forgot, or add more images.

You need to be a Plus subscriber to edit your posts.

Important to know:

You can’t edit posts that are older than 1 hour.
You can’t add/edit a poll when you edit a post.
You can remove mentions, but we won’t remove the already sent notifications.
You can safely add new mentions, we won’t send new notifications to the already mentioned JOIs, only to the new ones you add.
You can’t change the skin of a post when you edit it.

How to edit a Post

Go to the post you want to edit.
Click on the More icon (three dots) in the top right corner of the post.
Click the Edit post button. Make your changes and click Update.

I’ve already edited my post, but I can’t see the changes

Sometimes, we may take a little longer to show the changes you made. Try refreshing the page, and if you still can’t see the changes, contact us.

Will my mentions get notified every time I edit a post?

No, we only send notifications to the new mentions you add when you edit a post. We won’t send new notifications to the already mentioned JOIs.

Why the 1-hour limit?

We don’t want some JOIs to abuse this feature and edit their posts taking advantage of the engagement they already got. We think 1 hour is enough time to fix typos or add something you forgot.

Will reposts and quotes of my post be updated when I edit it?

Yes, reposts and quotes of your post will be updated with the changes you make.
