How to approve or deny follower requests

Approve or deny a follow request

  1. Go to your Notifications page by clicking the heart icon in the navigation bar.

  2. If you have a follow request, you will see a Follow Requests section, click the You have X follow requests button.

  3. You will see a list of users who have requested to follow you. Click the Accept or Decline button to approve or deny the request.

Good to know:

  • If people follow you without sending a request first, it means your profile is public, protect your posts if you want to approve who can follow you.
  • You may not see the Follow Requests section if you have no pending requests.
  • If you change your posts to public, you will still have to approve your pending follow requests. Unless they cancel the request and follow you again.
  • You can cancel a follow request by unfollowing the JOI so the request will be removed.
