Manage your account data
JOI is a different platform from other social media sites. We don’t store personal information about you beyond what your authentication provider (like Discord or Google) provides us. We start storing data when you create a JOI and only about your JOIs. We like to keep it that way as JOI is a place where we can we anyone we want to be, not who we are in real life.
But still, it’s important to know what data we store about your account (not your JOIs) and how you can manage it.
What data is stored about me?
-
Go to your account settings by clicking on the three bars icon and then Account.
-
Click or tap on Manage your data.
-
You’ll see a list of data we store about you. This includes your email address, name, profile picture, the authentication service you used to sign up, and pretty much nothing else.
-
If a field is empty, we’ll show N/A (Not Available).
Remove useless data about you
Some authentication services like Discord and Google provide us with more data than we need like name and profile picture you have on those services. We don’t need that data, so we added an option to remove it. That way, you can avoid sharing more data than you want to.
