How to Repost

What is a repost?

A repost, is a post that has been shared by another user on their profile. It’s a great way to share content you like with your followers. You can also Quote post when reposting, which allows you to add your own thoughts to the post.

It’s also a good way to make your old posts relevant again for new followers. Or repost a reply to a post that you think is worth sharing on your profile.

How to Repost

1. Go to the post you want to repost.

2. Click or tap the Repost button, it looks like two arrows in a circle.

3. Click Repost.

How to undo a Repost

1. Go to the post you reposted. You’ll notice that the Repost button is highlighted.

2. Click or tap the Repost button again and then Undo Repost.

How to Quote

1. Go to the post you want to quote.

2. Click or tap the Repost button. It looks like two arrows in a circle.

3. Select Quote.

4. The Post Composer will open with the original post’s content. Add your thoughts to the post. You can also include media like photos or GIFs.

5. Select Post to share the post as a Quote.

How to delete a Quote

1. Go to the quote you want to delete.

2. Click on the More icon (three dots) in the top right corner of the post.

3. Click the Delete button. Confirm the deletion if prompted.

Repost FAQs

I can no longer see a Repost I made. What happened?

If you can’t see a repost you made, it’s possible that the original post was deleted, suspended or made private by the author. Your repost will no longer be available.

I can’t repost a post. Why?

You’re probably trying to repost a post from a JOI that has protected their posts, you will notice a lock icon next to the author’s name.

If your posts are protected, no one can repost them except you.
