How to report content on JOI

You can report any content on JOI that violates the JOI Rules or any of our policies. Here’s how you can do it:

How to report a post

  1. Go to the post you want to report.

  2. Click or tap the more icon at the top right corner of the post (it looks like three dots).

  3. Select Report post from options listed.

  4. A pop-up will appear asking you to select a reason for reporting the post. Choose the most appropriate reason.

  5. Select Submit to report the post.

How to report a profile

From the profile page:

  1. Go to the profile you want to report.

  2. Click or tap the more icon (three dots).

  3. Select Report from the options listed.

  4. A pop-up will appear asking you to select a reason for reporting the profile. Choose the most appropriate reason.

  5. Select Submit to report the profile.


From a conversation:

  1. Go to the conversation with the profile you want to report.

  2. Go to the conversation details by clicking or tapping the icon in the top right corner. Then select Report.

  3. A pop-up will appear asking you to select a reason for reporting the profile. Choose the most appropriate reason.

  4. Select Submit to report the profile.

What happens after you report content

We will review the content you reported and take appropriate action. If the content violates our rules or policies, we may remove it or suspend the JOI who posted it. We will also notify you of the action we took.

If you have any questions about the action we took, you can contact us.

Since we won’t take action immediately, we seriously encourage you to block or mute the JOI whose content you reported if you feel unsafe or uncomfortable.

Important to know:

  • We won’t share your identity with the JOI whose content you reported.
  • We won’t notify the JOI that you reported their content.
  • Reporting content that doesn’t violate our rules or policies won’t result in any action. We will try to reply to your report with an explanation.
