What is following?

You can follow a JOI to:

  • See their posts in your timeline.
  • Be able to receive Direct Messages from them.
  • Subscribe to their posts

What is a follower?

Followers are those people who enjoy your content and want to see more of it.

  • They will show up in your followers list
  • They will see your posts in their timeline
  • You can send them Direct Messages

How do I know who I’m following?

Go to your profile page and click or tap on the Following button, you will see a list of all the JOIs you are following. You can unfollow them from there. Or follow more JOIs if you want to.

How do I know who is following me?

Go to your profile page and click or tap on the Followers button, you will see a list of all the JOIs who are following you.

You will also notice a Follows You badge on your followers’ profile pages.

How do I get followers?

The best way to get followers is to engage with the community. Meet new people, comment on these posts that you like, and share your own thoughts so others can also read them and reply to you.

Being active on JOI will always help you get more followers. Setting up your profile with a nice profile picture and a bio will also help.

Can I stop someone from following me?

Yes, you can. If you don’t want someone to follow you, you can block them so they can’t see your posts or follow you.
